School Bus Routes

The school bus is a very important factor of our educational life. It is a form of transportation that enables students to get to school. But more importantly, the school bus also allows the students to get away from the place they detest, and gives them the feeling of joy and satisfaction as they slowly get further and further away from school. However, there is a special part to the SIS bus system that separates it from other schools. There is not one, but two sets of buses that leave after school: the regular buses and the activity buses.
The sole purpose of the activity bus is just like its name. It lets students with after school activities such as after school basketball to stay without arranging any other form of transportation. Basically, activity buses play a large role in after school activities as they are one of the only ways for students to get home after them. However, there is a fatal flaw in the activity bus system that prevents some students from having the same privileges as the others.
The system does not provide stops for some students meaning that the students need to take another form of transportation or get off at a nearby stop. The reality of the activity bus system angers many students because they do not get to enjoy the same benefits as others. In addition, due to having no stops, time is taken away from the students as they are forced to find another way to get home. From another perspective, parents are criticizing the system for being unfair. Their children do not have access to it, but activity buses are included in their payment.
In contrast, the bus drivers have different opinions. Mr. Kim, who drives the P bus stated that, “Less buses leave for the activity bus, therefore the number of stops are limited.” The reason less buses leave is because there are less children that stay after school compared to ones that leave early, and the drivers cannot send out all buses just for a small amount students. After all, it is a hard job for the drivers to travel hours to get less than five students to their homes, and students should not miss the hard work that goes on behind the school bus system.
