There are many great books that were made into movie. But those movies sometime don’t come out as exceptional as the original books. Most of the time people who enjoyed the book comes to watch the movies as well, however there are times when they go home unsatisfied with the movie.
Alice in Wonderland a great book has been recreated into a movie in the year of 2010. However many fans of the book were not as fond of the movie. Junhee Lee (8) stated that “Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite books, but the movie is so different from the book. I felt like it lacked many small details that were in the book.” Not only that but “The movie was too fast paced.” Ryan Hyun answered. “Even though the story itself is very exciting but it is not necessarily fast paced.” Followed up by Eugene Jang (8) he thought the book was very interesting. On the other hand, he thought he movie failed. “I believe that the everything was so over dramatic, even though Alice in Wonderland is supposed to be an dramatic movie and book but the people who made the movie were trying too hard making it sort of dull.” Also he added by saying “The thing that ups the book is the tension that the author builds up throughout the book however that tension is broken due to the extremely fast pace of the movie.”
Divergent a book by Veronica Roth, also a very well known book has been made into a movie. “I really enjoyed the book,” stated Jaden Ha (8), however he was disappointed in the movie. “I thought the author was able to develop each individual characters very well throughout the book, but the movie wasn’t able to portray the different characters as effectively as the book.” These two books are not the only examples of movies that are based on books. Even though the books the movies are based on is satisfying for the audience the movie might end as a disappointment.
